2009 USA South Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team
FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College had four players named honorable mention to the 2009 USA South Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team; defender Kelsey Walters and midfielders Jen Phan, Cara Jacobs and Phylicia Garner.
Garner led the Panthers in scoring this season with 27 goals, seven assists and 34 points. She had one game-winning goal.
Phan had 17 goals, including two game-winners, and two assists for 19 points. She also earned honorable mention last season.
Jacobs had 15 goals and two assists for 17 points, while Walters had four goals. Walters was an All-Conference third team selection with the women's soccer team last fall.
Senior Amanda Hardnack is Ferrum's designee to the USA South Women's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship Team.
Christopher Newport University's Kaitlin Quigley and Carolyn Reveia were named Player and Coach of the Year, respectively. Methodist University's Jasmine Stephens earned Rookie of the Year.
Ferrum finished 3-9 under second-year head coach Karen Harvey. The Panthers graduate one player, Hardnack, while 15 players are eligible to return next season.
