TOURNAMENT SITE
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Ferrum College swept a pair of non-conference baseball games at the 2009 Rawlings Southern Classic, beating Franklin College 3-2 and Oglethorpe University 12-2 Feb. 20.

Both games were played at Oglethorpe. The Stormy Petrels are hosting the Rawlings Southern Classic with Emory University and Piedmont College.
Against Franklin,
Jesse Fuller went 3-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run.
Paul Jaglowski went 2-4 with a run.
Dennis Cauley got the win, pitching two innings of relief. He allowed one hit, no runs or walks and struck out three. Starter
Trey Finch scattered seven hits over seven innings, allowed two earned runs and three walks, and struck out five.
Against Oglethorpe, Jaglowski drilled a 3-run homer down the left field line in the second inning to give Ferrum a 4-0 lead, and the rout was on. Jaglowski finished the game going 3-5 from the plate with a home run, six RBI, two runs and two stolen bases.
Travis Crump went 3-6 with a double, three runs and an RBI.
Starter
Michael Baskeyfield pitched five innings to get the win. He allowed three hits, no earned runs and one walk, while striking out two of the 19 batters he faced.
The Panthers travel to Demorest, Georgia, to face Piedmont Feb. 21, then back to Atlanta to close out the tournament against Emory Feb. 22.
