FERRUM, Va. -- North Carolina Wesleyan College built a 16-6 lead through six innings and held on for a 19-18 win over Ferrum College in USA South Athletic Conference baseball action tonight in Ferrum.

Travis Crump went 4--7 with a home run, four RBI and two runs.  Crump's homer came in the fourth inning, a three-run blast over the right-center fence.

The Bishops scored 11 of their runs on five home runs, one HR each in the first five innings.  Zollie Woodlief led the home run onslaught, belting a two-run homer in the first inning and a three-run shot in the fifth inning, both over the left field fence.  He finished the game 4-5 with a double, two home runs, six RBI and four runs.

Luke Williford, Justin Batts and Justin Rahm also homered for N.C. Wesleyen (15-11, 4-1 USA South).  Williford went 5-6 with a home run, four RBI and four runs.

Starter Jonathan Lucas got the win for N.C. Wesleyan.  He allowed 10 hits and three earned runs over 5.1 innings, walked two and struck out four.  Andrew Webb earned the save.  Trey Finch absorbed the loss for Ferrum.  He allowed six hits and eight earned runs over three innings, walked five and struck out two.

Ferrum (10-8, 2-3 USA South) and N.C. Wesleyan will complete the USA South series Monday, March 30, at 3 p.m. in Ferrum.
