FERRUM, Va. -- Marymount University erased a 1-0 deficit to force overtime, then scored the game-winner just seven minutes into the first extra period for the men's soccer win over Ferrum College Oct. 2 at Penn-Roediger Field.

Cherif Moktefi headed a ball in off a long pass from Chris Rodriguez at the 96:21 mark.  Rodriguez also earned an assist on Phillippe Millogo's goal at 73:17, which tied the non-conference match and sent it to OT. 

Ferrum's Chris Key opened scoring with a goal at 39:38, with Aaron Gustine assisting on the play.

Ferrum GK Chris Taylor made 11 saves in net, while William Brahmstedt made four saves for the Saints.  Marymount (4-6-1) outshot Ferrum 25-14 and held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks. 

Ferrum (2-7-1) returns to action Oct. 6 at home against Greensboro College.  The USA South matchup begins at 7 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field.
