FERRUM, Va. -- Nago Mbengue scored an unassisted goal in the 39th minute of play to give Bluefield College a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer victory over Ferrum College tonight. 

Jeff Field made two saves in net for Bluefield (2-1), while Chris Taylor notched five saves for Ferrum (0-2).

Ferrum out-shot Bluefield 17-10, while the Rams held a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.  Asa Fox and Yao Raphael Adjeoda Sepenou each posted four shots for Ferrum.

The Panthers return to action Wednesday, Sept. 8, when they travel to Lynchburg, Virginia, to take on non-conference rival Randolph College.
