NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of USA South volleyball matches this afternoon, falling 3-1 to Meredith College and 3-0 to Peace College. The matches were part of a USA South quad meet, held at Christopher Newport University.

Set scores againt Meredith were 25-14, 25-14, 20-25 and 25-21.  Kayla Trippeer had16 kills and 23 digs.  Jordan Link added 12 kills and 10 digs, and Leah Quinones had 25 digs.  Bridget Atkinson had 30 assists.  Set scores in the loss to Peace were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-23.  Trippeer had 11 kills and 20 digs.

Ferrum (0-26, 0-15 USA South) returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Mary Baldwin College.  The USA South match is set to start at 7 p.m. in Staunton, Virginia.  The Panthers then close out home action with a non-conference match Thursday, Oct. 27, against Roanoke College at 7 p.m.
