STAUNTON, Va. -- Junior outside hitter Kayla Trippeer had 14 kills in Ferrum College's 3-0 loss to Mary Baldwin College in USA South volleyball action Oct. 26 on the road.  Set scores were 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.

Trippeer made 37 attempts, posting 14 kills with two errors for an outstanding .324 attack percentage.  Freshman outside hitter Jordan Link added six kills and freshman setter Bridget Atkinson dished out 22 assists.  Through 27 matches, Trippeer is Ferrum's leader in attacks (730), kills (241) and digs (196).  Link leads the team in service aces with 22.

Tiffany Flesher led the Fighting Squirrels (3-23, 2-14 USA South) with 13 kills, while Meghan Barron had 10.  Candace Pettway had 29 digs and Paige Babb had 32 assists.

Ferrum (0-27, 0-16 USA South) returns to action Thursday, Oct. 27, at home against Roanoke College.  Prior to the match, the College will hold a Senior Day ceremony to honor graduating senior middle blocker Phoenix Miller, a four-year member of the team.
