FERRUM, Va. – Paul Jaglowski belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to put the finishing touches on Ferrum College's 13-5 non-conference baseball win over Guilford College this afternoon at Panther Field.

Jaglowski went 2-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs. Travis Crump and Taryn Hayden had three hits each for the Panthers.

Starter pitcher Caleb Dorton got the win, scattering nine hits and three earned runs over seven innings. Dorton struck out three and walked none, and went 2-4 at the plate with three runs and two RBI.

Derek Hardison had a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning for Guilford. Starter Will James absorbed the loss for the Quakers (3-7) pitching two innings and allowing five hits and three earned runs.

Ferrum (5-3) returns to action Thursday, Feb. 24, at home against the University of Maine Presque Isle. The non-conference game gets underway at 4 p.m. at Panther Field.
