FERRUM, Va. -- Hampden-Sydney College scored six runs in the third inning en route to a 9-0 non-conference baseball win over Ferrum College tonight at Panther Field.
Ferrum got base hits from Tayrn Hayden,
Paul Jaglowski,
Travis Crump,
Caleb Dorton,
Daniel Alvarez,
Sammy Holloway and
Ryan Easterly. Alvarez and Holloway earned extra-base hits, each with a double. Crump had two stolen basen, while Jaglowski had one and was hit by a pitch once.
Beau Flinchum went 2-4 with a run for Hampden-Sydney (14-12). Starter Kyle Pullen earned the win, scattering six hits over six innings. He allowed no runs and two walks, while striking out seven Ferrum batters.
Ferrum (11-13) will be in action Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27, at home against Methodist University. The USA South games get underway at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
