EMORY, Va. -- Taryn Hayden went 3-6 with a run and three RBI to lead Ferrum College to an 11-3 non-conference baseball win over Emory & Henry College this afternoon on the road.

Ferrum led 2-1 after two innings, then exploded for six runs in the third inning to blow the game open.  Peter Byron went 2-3 with a double, two runs and four RBI.  Eddie McGrath, Ryan Easterly and Corey Inman each had a pair of base hits. 

Coach Darren Hodges used seven pitchers on the day, including winning pitcher Michael Williams.  D.J. Russ homered for Emory & Henry (3-16).

Ferrum (13-14) is scheduled to be back in action Thursday, March 31, at home against Bridgwater College.  The non-conference game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Panther Field.
