PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Ferrum College closed out Spring Break action with an 11-3 non-conference loss to Misericordia University this afternoon.  Caleb Dorton went 3-4 with two doubles and an RBI for the Panthers (8-7).

Travis Crump went 2-4 and scored a run.  Taryn Hayden, Paul Jaglowski and Eddie McGrath each had a base hit.  Starter Morgan Boles absorbed the loss, allowing eight hits and nine earned runs over 4.2 innings with four strikeouts.  Josh Motto pitched an inning and a third and Justin Puentes threw the final three innings.

Coach Darren Hodges' team returns to campus and will prep for a four-game stretch on the road.  Ferrum plays at Lynchburg College March 9, at Christopher Newport University March 1213 and at Virginia Wesleyan College March 14.  The CNU games are USA South contests.
