FERRUM, Va. -- North Carolina Wesleyan College built a 9-0 lead mid-way through the fourth inning en route to a 14-5 USA South baseball win over Ferrum College this afternoon at Panther Field.

Ferrum cut the lead to 9-4 after five innings, only to see the Bishops plate five more runs in the seventh and eighth innings.

Travis Crump went 4-5 with a double and scored a pair of runs.  Crump was honored prior to the game with a Senior Day ceremony.  A four-year starter, Crump will graduate in May.  Peter Byron had two base hits for Ferrum, going 2-4 with a double and a run.

Ferrum (16-16, 2-9 USA South) will be back in action Monday, April 11, at home against Bridgewater College.  The non-conference game starts at 6 p.m. at Panther Field.
