WINCHESTER, Va. -- Wes Walker and Brennen Iley both had a pair of base hits, but Ferrum College fell 4-0 to Shenandoah University in USA South baseball play this afternoon at Bridgeforth Field.

Tyler Easterly pitched a complete eight-inning game to get the loss.  He allowing just four hits, one earned run and two walks, while striking our three Shenandoah batters.  Cory Nelson pitched a complete 9-inning game for the Hornets (7-4, 3-1 USA South), posting nine strikeouts. 

Ferrum had seven hits to Shenandoah's four, but struggled defensively with seven errors.  Posting a base hit each for the Panthers were Paul Jaglowski, Jason Parker and Daniel Alvarez.

Ferrum (9-5, 2-2 USA South) returns to the diamond Tuesday, March 7, at home against Virginia Intermont College.  The non-conference game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. at Panther Field.
