Ryan Brittle's team beat the Monarchs 9-6 and 9-7 yesterday.
The Monarchs led 1-0 after three innings today, but Ferrum scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth inning;

The Panthers tacked on two more runs in the sixth inning for a 5-1 lead, and the Monarchs (13-9, 7-5 USA South) closed the gap with two runs in the ninth.
Starter
Javin Metz got the win for the Panthers, hurling 5.2 innings and allowing six hits, one earned run and no walks with one strikeout. Ferrum (16-6, 13-2 USA South) is back in action Wednesday, March 26, against Roanoke College. The non-conference game gets underway at 7:00 in Salem, Virginia.
