FERRUM, Va. -- Shelbi Holloman had a pair of goals and an assist to lead Roanoke College to a 4-0 non-conference field hockey win over Ferrum College this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium. The game was the season-opener for both schools.

The Maroons outshot Ferrum 27-2, with Holloman taking six of those. Megan Deihl scored for Roanoke in the first minute of play with an assist from Holloman. Holloman scored her first goal in the 11th minute, then Rebecca Schmidt tallied a goal in the 31st minute. Holloman closed out scoring with her second goal in the 66th minute.
