FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference field hockey game to visiting Goucher College this afternoon at home, falling 4-2 at W.B. Adams Stadium. Siera Magdaleno led the Panthers with a goal and an assist.

THE BASICS
The Gophers opened a 3-0 lead, but Ferrum answered with a pair of goals to trim the lead to 3-2 with 11 minutes left in regulation.
Destanee Cutler scored her first career goal to put Ferrum on the scoreboard at 38:47, then Magdaleno punched one in at 58:42. Ferrum's comeback was stopped when Goucher's Rachel Cain scored the game's final goal with 4:29 left to play.
