FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference field hockey game this afternoon at home to Virginia Wesleyan University, falling 4-3 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
Taylor Abraszek got Virginia Wesleyan on the board with a goal in the 7th minute of play, but
Kiani Mohica equalized that with an unassisted goal at the 10:11 mark. Eli Roberto punched in two goals at 12:30 and 14:53 to put the Marlins on top 3-1. Mohica added a goal at 24:56 and Ferrum trailed 3-2 at the break. Abraszek notched her second goal of the afternoon at 39:38 to widen the lead two 4-2.
Destanee Cutler then scored at 57:12 to make it 4-3, but that's all the Panthers would get.
