MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Pfeiffer University completed a three-game sweep of the weekend non-conference baseball series against Ferrum College with today's win 12-1 win at Joe Ferebee Field. The Falcons belted out 17 base hits to Ferrum's four.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer scored two runs in the first inning and followed with four more in the second to claim a 6-0 lead. Ferrum avoided the shutout with a run in the sixth inning when
Jacob Holland singled to right field, advanced on a hit batsman, and scored on a throwing error. Jordan Eckard, Bryan Kowalski and Kirby Lambert all went 3-5 for the Falcons, with Lambert blasting a two-run homer in the seventh inning.
Brandon Turner pitched the eighth inning for the Panthers, striking out the side.

Ryan Brittle's team, which will be back in action next on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at home against Emory & Henry College. The non-conference game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start at Panther Field. Ferrum then plays at non-conference opponent Washington and Lee University Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 3:00 p.m. in Lexington, Virginia. The Panthers open USA South play with a three-game home series with Averett University Friday through Sunday, March 2-4. Friday's game is at 6:00 p.m., Saturday's game 3:00 p.m. and Sunday's game 1:00 p.m.
