FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up a non-conference baseball win over #4 Roanoke College tonight at home, winning 8-7 in 11 innings at Panther Field. The two teams combined to have 17 different pitchers take the mound, 11 from Ferrum.

THE BASICS
Ferrum trailed 7-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but scored a run each in the seventh, eighth and ninth to force extra innings. Christian Mosier led off the bottom of the 11th inning with a double down the left field line, moved to third on Nathaniel Anthony's sac bunt, then scored the game-winning run on Jake Martin's fielder's choice when Roanoke pitcher Ethan Delahunty opted to go for the double play by throwing to second base. Garrett Dorton went 4-5 at the plate with a solo home run, a double, two runs and an RBI for the Panthers. Will Salva had a two-run homer in the first inning for the Maroons. Bryce Amoriello (W, 1-0) was the 11th and final pitcher of the night for the Panthers, pitching one inning with one hit and no runs or walks.

NEXT GAME
Coach Ryan Brittle's team will be back in action Friday and Saturday, April 6-7 at home against LaGrange College. The three-game USA South series will begin with a doubleheader Friday at 2:00 p.m., and will conclude Saturday with a single game at 2:00 p.m.
