VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia -- The Ferrum College field hockey team fell to Virginia Wesleyan University 2-0, in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup at Birdsong Field.

THE BASICS
In the first half, Ferrum's Anna Corsey had seven saves to keep it a scoreless game at halftime. In the 37th minute of the third quarter, Stephanie Hoke got the Marlins on the board when she scored off a pass from Lauren Hedspeth. Hoke then assisted Shannon Gaffey on her goal in the fourth quarter to make it a 2-0 game.
