Panthers Fall in Overtime

FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference field hockey game today to visiting University of the South (Sewanee), Falling 2-1 in overtime at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
Courtney Odom got Sewanee on the scoreboard first with a goal at 21:14 off a pass from Sydney Simpson. The 1-0 score held up through halftime, then Ferrum's Olivia Turner tied the game with a unassisted goal in the 50th minute of play to force overtime.

Simpson then scored the game-winner for Sewanee 4:07 into the first overtime period.
