FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's Lance Keiser has been named to the 2019 College Division Men's Golf All-State Team for the second straight season, as named by the Virginia Sports Information Directors.
Keiser joined nine other players on this year's All-State team, including four others as members of the second team. The rising senior was an All-State first team pick a year ago after earning a berth in last year's NCAA Division III Tournament.
VaSID Player of the Year honors this season went to Brian Peccie of Washington and Lee University, who repeated in claiming the top honor from a year ago. Hampden-Sydney College's John Ferguson and Chad Eisele were named State Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively.
Keiser finished tied for ninth place individually at the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament, and was named to the All-Conference second team. He closed the 2018-19 season with a 74.6 average over 18 rounds.
Keiser had a banner season in 2017-18, when he was the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament runner-up and earned All-Conference, All-State, All-Region and All-America honors.
