Men's Golf Finishes Seventh at Kinder Memorial

RESULTS

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- The Ferrum College men's golf team finished seventh of 17 teams at the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament, hosted the past two days by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Club.

THE BASICS
McDaniel College won the team title with an eight-over par 584. Host Bridgewater was second at 589, while Hampden-Sydney College finished third at 591. The Panthers finished seventh as a team at 597 after being in second place following day one.

Alex Rubino from Hampden-Sydney won medalsit honors with a two-day 140, one stroke better than McDaniel's Charlie Csejka. Ferrum All-American Lance Keiser finished tied for third place individually at 142, competing in a field of 88 golfers. Hunter Shelton finished tied for 27th after leading following Monday's opening round with a two-day 150.

Cox's team will be back in action Monday and Tuesday, October 7-8, at the Oglethorpe-Royal Lakes Fall Invitational. Oglethorpe University will once again host the event at Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club in Flowery Branch, Georgia.
