FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College earned an at-large bid into the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament and will travel to Atlanta this weekend to play in a regional at Emory University.  The Eagles host a four-team regional Friday and Saturday, March 1-2.

The Panthers will face Huntingdon (Ala.) College Friday, March 1.  While Huntingdon is not a regular on Ferrum's schedule, the Hawks and Panthers will see a lot of each other soon when Huntingdon joins the USA South Athletic Conference next fall.  Emory will face Whitworth (Wash.) University in the other game Friday.\

This is Ferrum's second straight NCAA Tournament and third overall.  The Panthers played last year against defending NCAA runner-up Washington University of St. Louis in a regional at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.  Ferrum's only other NCAA berth came in 1995, when the Panthers played at home against Roanoke College.
