Ferrum Women Drop ODAC Home Game to Randolph

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's women's basketball team dropped its final home game of the season tonight to visiting Randolph College, losing 45-37 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action at Swartz Gym.

Randolph (5-18, 3-13 ODAC)
Ferrum (3-21, 1-16 ODAC)

The WildCats held Ferrum to just three points in the first quarter, but the Panthers bounced back with a solid second quarter before trailing 18-12 at the break.

Ferrum grabbed a 23-20 lead early in the third quarter on back-to-back three-pointers by Jacy Marvin and Kelsey Mosley, then Maggie Self's pair of free throws at 4:42 gave Ferrum a 27-24 lead.

Randolph used a 5-0 run to go back out in front 29-27, then slowly began to pull away. In the fourth quarter, the WildCats expanded the lead to 11 when Dominique Jackson's free throw with 3:23 left to play made it a 44-33 game.

Coach Bryan Harvey's team will close out the season Saturday, Feb. 16, at Washington and Lee University. The ODAC game tips off at 2:00 p.m. in Lexington, Virginia.
