ROANOKE, Va. -- Ferrum College picked up a Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's soccer game this afternoon at Hollins University, winning 3-0 at Marjorie T. Berkley Field.

Ferrum (5-2-1, 1-0-0 ODAC)
Hollins (3-4-0, 0-1-0 ODAC)

Ferrum did not let the first half end without scoring the first goal. Melina Turner had an unassisted goal with just seven minutes left of the half for the Panthers.

Frances Best scored her first goal just eight minutes into the second half. Janelle Manni fed Best a pass to give her the final score of the game for Ferrum.

Abbey Hayes played all 90 minutes in net for the Panthers to earn her first ODAC win. Kendra Rich posted 15 saves in 90 minutes of play for Hollins. Ferrum out-shot Hollins 35-0.

"It's always nice to get an ODAC win, but we had many chances and didn't capitalize on them. We have to be more dangerous in the attack." --  Head Coach Erin Saleeby

Coach Saleeby's women will be back in action Wednesday, October 2, against Emory & Henry College. The ODAC game is set to start at 6:00 p.m. at Penn-Roediger Field in Ferrum.
