EMORY, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped its second ODAC match of the year on the road Tuesday night at Emory & Henry College.

The Panthers got off to a great start on the road, leading the first set as much as 19-10, but was unable to shut the door on the set and fell behind 1-0. Ferrum battled back and took the second set from the Wasps, but that was as close as the Panthers would get in this one.
Freshman Cassidy Burke had a big game for the Panthers, recording 11 kills to go along with a .276 hitting percentage. Chemaiya Jordan turned in a .364 hitting percentage, adding six kills. Ashley Roberts led the Panthers in assists with 16 as Arielle Tritt contributed 15 assists of her own. Freshman Mikayla Thorpe led the back row with ten digs, as Kayla Divers was close behind with nine. Layura Henley and Halee Bly were both credited with a solo block apiece.

Coach Duffy's squad will be back in action Thursday, September 19 at home to take on Mary Baldwin University. The two teams have met once this season, with Ferrum winning the match 3-2. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at Swartz Gymnasium.
