Women's Wrestling Beats Liberty 21-20

SALEM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College women's wrestling team competed against Liberty University Saturday, November 16, in a dual meet held at the Salem Civic Center. The Panthers and Flames battled to a 20-20 deadlock, with Ferrum earning an extra team point on criteria to claim a 21-20 win.

THE BASICS
With shortages in both rosters due to injuries, only five matches were wrestled. Ferrum picked up pins in three of those, al three by pin; Destiny Benjamin (130), Caitlynn Richardson (136) and Andrea Langley (191).

The Panthers earned the extra team win due to the first criteria, team with the greater number of pins, to earn it's first win of the 2019-20 season. The victory was also Ferrum Coach Breonnah Neal's first collegiate coaching win.
