ALLIANCE, Ohio - Ferrum College's wrestling team ran its record to 5-0 with four wins at today's Mount Union College Duals. Included were wins over two Top-25 teams, #23 Lycoming College and #15 Mount Union. The Panthers also beat Washington and Jefferson College and Thiel College.

How It Happened
Ferrum opened with a 29-13 win over Washington and Jefferson, with Hunter Goulart (184) and Tate Dulany (285) posting pins. The Panthers then beat #23 Lycoming, with Adam Fitzwater (197) posting a pin to give Ferrum a 19-17 lead, then Dulany eked out a 3-2 win to seal the deal and give Ferrum its first-ever win over a ranked opponent. Against Thiel, Ferrum trailed 18-12, but Fitzwater posted another pin and the two teams were even at 18 after nine matches to set up another showdown at 285. Dulany earned a 6-3 win over Blake Heim to give the Panthers a 21-18 win. In the final match against #15 Mount Union, Ferrum led 16-14 after nine matches, setting up another winner-take-all match at 285 for Dulany, who posted a 3-1 decision over Jake Alaire to give his team a 19-14 win.

Coach Yetzer's Thoughts
"The guys wrestled really well today," said Head Coach Nate Yetzer. "We're by no means a finished product, still have decisions to make about who will wrestle where, but that's a great problem to have. I'm proud of the way we competed today."

Back on the Mat
Yetzer's team will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 5, at the New Standard Invitational, hosted by York College in York, Pennsylvania. The Panthers will then compete in the Gator Boots Duals Saturday, Dec. 19, in Nashville, Tennessee.
