FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Ferrum College men's and women's wrestling teams completed a two-day run at the 2017 National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals Championships this afternoon.

The Panther men went 1-2 on the day, with a win over New York University and losses to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Coe College. Ferrum went 2-3 over the past two days, placing eighth in a field of 22 teams, and now owns a 9-4 overall record. Hunter Goulart (197 lbs) closed out the tournament with a 5-0 record for the Panther men. Robert Cunningham (133), Collin Saunders (149), Logan Meister (157) and Tate Dulany (285) all went 4-1 in the tournament.

The Panther women dropped their only match of the day to Adrian College, and closed the tournament with an 0-3 mark. Leya Deickman picked up a pin over Adrian's Autumn Rux just 38 seconds into the first period.
