FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's wrestling team beat visiting Southern Virginia University tonight at home, winning 37-12 at Swartz Gym.

Tatom Tyree (141 lbs) and Collin Saunders (157) posted pins to lead the Panthers, while Antavian Leary (197) recorded a tech fall. Winning by major decisions were Andrew Tolbert (165) and Max Baker (184). Clifford Harrison (149) and Tyrique Nolen (285) each posted a decision, while Bailey Cooper (133) collected a win by forfeit. Southern Virginia got pins from Aaron Friedhof (125) and Keaton Gomez (174).

COACH'S THOUGHTS
"Very pleased with not only the win but the effort we wrestled with tonight," said Head Coach Nate Yetzer. " We needed a spark after a tough last couple months. We are still trying to find the right lineup for the NCAA Regionals so we put some new guys in there and they responded. Very proud of our seniors Max Baker, Mark Allan, and Bailey Cooper. Those guys have come to work every day these past four years. This is a tough sport and a program that demands a lot. To do it shows the type of men these three are. Extremely grateful for them."
