BLACKSBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College finished 11th of 17 teams at the 2019 Virginia State Golf Association Intercollegiate Championship, played the past two days at the par 72, 6619-yard Blacksburg Country Club. Christopher Newport University and University of Lynchburg shared the team title at 580.
THE BASICS
Averett University (584), Mary Washington (585), Virginia Union University (596) and Washington and Lee University "B" (596) rounded out the top five teams. Ferrum scored a two-day 619. Averett's Elias Haavisto earned medalist at 136, followed by runner-up Lynchburg's Harry Hodgert at 137. Ferrum's Lance Keiser tied for 13th at 146.
