Men's Tennis Picks Up 6-3 Road Win


KNOVXVILLE, Tenn. -- Ferrum College picked up a non-conference men's tennis win this afternoon on the road, beating Johnson University 6-3 at the JU Tennis Counrt.

THE BASICS
Ferrum grabbed a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles. Riley Kern and Houston Murphy overcame a 6-1 deficit and came back to post an 8-7 win with a 12-10 score in the tiebreak.

Patrick Marsh and Jacob Glass won in straights sets at #2 doubles, while Marshall Ownby and David Bishop won at #3. Kern dropped a tough three-set match at #1 singles.

Marsh, Glass and Murphy then won at #4-6 singles, respectively, to close out the match.

NEXT MATCH
Baker's team will play two matches Friday, March 15, against Ohio Christian University and King University in Bristol, Tennessee.
