FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's men's tennis team split a pair of non-conference matches with Johnson (Tenn.) University, held Friday, April 16, at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Ferrum resumed a previously incomplete match with Johnson from March 12 in Tennessee, losting 5-2. The Panthers then turned the tables and scratched out a 5-4 win in the second match.
In the first match, Jose Villacis and Patrick Marsh won at #1 doubles 8-2 and Villacis earned a forfeit win at #1 singles.
In the second match, Villacis won in straight sets at #1 singles, as did Jacob Glass at #3, while Dakota McDaniel earned a three-set win at #4. Villacis and Marsh again won at #1 doubles, while McDaniel and David Bishop eked out a 9-8 win at #3 doubles, winning the tiebreak in dominant fashion 10-1.
