Calvin Washington had 20 points to lead Ferrum College to an 82-64 non-conference men's basketball win over University of Valley Forge tonight at the Dan Greene and Wayne Cook Memorial Invitational, hosted by Saint Mary's College of Maryland.

The Panthers trailed 22-13 midway through the first half, but used a 22-8 run, including seven points each from Washington and
Alfredo Abel-Rivera, to grab a 35-30 lead at the break. Washington and Abel Rivera were two of four players in double-digit scoring for the Panthers, along with
Johnny Franklin and
Tahli Oden. The game marks was the first career win for Ferrum first-year Head Coach
Patrick Corrigan.
