SAINT MARY'S CITY, Maryland -- Calvin Washington had 20 points to lead Ferrum College to an 82-64 non-conference men's basketball win over University of Valley Forge tonight at the Dan Greene and Wayne Cook Memorial Invitational, hosted by Saint Mary's College of Maryland.

THE BASICS
The Panthers trailed 22-13 midway through the first half, but used a 22-8 run, including seven points each from Washington and Alfredo Abel-Rivera, to grab a 35-30 lead at the break. Washington and Abel Rivera were two of four players in double-digit scoring for the Panthers, along with Johnny Franklin and Tahli Oden. The game marks was the first career win for Ferrum first-year Head Coach Patrick Corrigan.
