Ferrum Women Drop Non-Conference Game at Greensboro

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Kayla Cabiness had a game-high 22 points, but Ferrum College's women's basketball team dropped a non-conference road game Thursday, December 15, to Greensboro College, falling 76-51 at Hanes Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
Greensboro jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in grabbing a 45-20 lead at the break. Audrey Jennings' fast break layup with just over two minutes left in the third quarter gave Greensboro its largest lead of the night at 67-26.

Cabiness, who recently scored her 1000th career point for the Panthers, went 7-12 from the floor against Greensboro, including three buckets from behind the three-point line. She also went 5-6 from the charity stripe to account for her 22 points, and added four rebounds, four assists and a steal.
