WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- Trina Lewis had a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Ferrum College to a 66-47 non-conference women's basketball win over Salem College tonight at Varsity Gym.

THE BASICS
Lewis had a pair of layups to open the game, spotting Ferrum the early 4-0 edge, but Salem answered with a 7-0 run to grab the lead.

Aisha Martin's three-pointer at 2:39 of the first quarter capped a 13-0 run that put Ferrum out in front 17-7 and the Panthers never trailed from there.

Kayla Cabiness converted a fast break layup with 59 seconds left in the second quarter to give Ferrum a 38-22 halftime lead. Martin's layup at 7:10 of the fourth quarter stretched the Panther lead to 60-34, the largest advantage of the game.
