KNOXVILLE, Tennessee -- Ferrum College's men's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches Friday, March 11, on the road. The Panthers fell 5-3 to Maryville College, then fell 8-1 to host Johnson University. Both matches were played at the Johnson U. Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Patrick Marsh, Jacob Glass and William Davis picked up wins against Maryville in the #2, #3 and #5 singles spots, respectively. Marsh needed three sets to get past Cooper Newman 6-1, 2-6, 1-0. In the third set, March eked out a 10-8 super tiebreak win to take the match.
Glass also won at #3 singles against Johnson, beating Jacob Keeling in three sets. He dropped the opening set 6-2, but bounced back for a 6-4 win in the second set. Glass then rolled to a 10-4 super tiebreak win in the third and deciding set.
