STAUNTON, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference women's tennis match to Mary Baldwin University this afternoon on the road, falling 5-4 at the MBU Tennis Courts.

THE BASICS
Ferrum's Madison Wright and Chelsea Zizzi won 8-2 at #2 doubles over Alexis Seymore and Samantha Childs, but Mary Baldwin took a 2-1 edge after the doubles portion of the match was complete.

Zizzi then beat Gretchen Lutz 6-2, 6-3 at #1 singles, and Megan Scott needed three sets to get part Seymore in the #2 spot. Esma Atkinson also needed three sets to earn a win over Lauren Hodgkins at #4 singles, but the Fighting Squirrels took the other three singles matches and with it, the match.
