VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia -- Ferrum College lost 8-1 to Virginia Wesleyan University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's tennis action, played Sunday, March 20, at Everett Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Ferrum's Emma Loughrey and Morgan Hundley eked out an 8-7 win over Virginia Wesleyan's Sage Mitchell and Sophia Bibbo in the #3 doubles spot, winning the tiebreaker 10-7. The Marlins won at #1 and #2 doubles to take a 2-1 lead into the singles portion.
Virginia Wesleyan then swept through the six singles matches in straight sets to cap the ODAC win.
