Ferrum Falls to Hampden-Sydney on the Road

THE BASICS
Hampden-Sydney jumped out to an early nine point lead, 17-8 with 14:20 in the first quarter. Ayman McGowans three-pointer sparked a 15-2 run over a three minute span, to give the Tigers a 34-15 lead with 10:18 left in the first half.

Hampden-Sydney continued to grow on their large lead, growing it to 23 with just under three minutes to play in the half. Deshone Hicks hit a three-pointer just before the buzzer sounded, to make it 54-34 in favor of the Tigers.

Calvin Washington hit a jumper to break a scoreless first minute of play by both teams in the second half. Hampden-Sydney was able to grow their lead to its largest at 29 points with under eight minutes left in the game. Ferrum closed the game out on a 15-2 run, with Washington scoring nine of his 22 points during a five minute stretch.
