FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College fell to Averett University 26-16 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference men's wrestling win tonight at Swartz Gymnasium.

THE BASICS
Averett opened a 17-0 lead through five weight classes, with four decisions and a tech fall. Olade got Ferrum on the board when he picked up a fall 3:51 into the match at 165 pounds. The Cougars would take the next two weight classes to hold a 26-6 lead.
Braden Homsey (197) picked up a major decision and Black (285) took down William Longhurst with a first period pin. Black gave up an early takedown, but quickly reversed Longhurst with a roll and secured the fall just 1:28 into the match.
