VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia -- Virginia Wesleyan University led big at the break before earning a 14-6 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's lacrosse win at home over Ferrum College this afternoon at Birgsong Field.

THE BASICS
Virginia Wesleyan led 4-0 after seven minutes of play before
Sydney Kincaid broke the ice for Ferrum with an unassisted goal at 3:43 of the first quarter.
The Marlins then rattled off seven unanswered goals to close out the first half with an 11-1 lead.
Erin Reynolds and
Willow Cooper had a goal each for the Panthers at 14:24 and 13:01 of the third quarter, respectively, to trim the lead to 11-3. Virginia Wesleyan added three goals to extend the lead to 14-3 at the 10:45 mark of the fourth.
Cooper found the back of the net twice more late in the fourth quarter, and
Bianca Cellitto scored the game's final goal with less than a minute left to play.
