DANVILLE, Virginia -- Ferrum College's men's wrestling dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) dual meet to Averett University January 18 on the road, falling 36-7 at the E. Stuart James Grant Center.

THE BASICS
Adrian Samano spotted the Panthers a 5-0 lead after a decisive 17-0 tech fall over Averett's Alexander Logsdon at 125 pounds. Samano is currently ranked #6 in the Southeast Region by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA).
The Cougars then rattled off eight straight wins to take an insurmountable 36-4 lead, including a one-point deduction against Ferrum for a misconduct.
Rayshawn Dixon posted a tight 5-4 decision over Trent Ragland at 285 pounds to remain undefeated at 17-0 this season. Dixon is currently ranked #5 nationally by the NWCA and #1 in the Southeast Region.
Bradley Sigmon and
Trent Ray each posted an exhibition win for the Panthers. Sigmon had a tight 9-8 win at 149 points, while Ray posted a pin at 285 pounds.
