FERRUM, Virginia – Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) wrestling match to visiting Washington and Lee University, falling 30-16 tonight at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
Adrian Samano (125 lbs) got Ferrum off to a good start with an 18-3 tech fall over W&L's Brad Singer. Zack Beckner (133) added five more team points with a 16-1 tech fall over Trey Custodio to spot Ferrum a 10-0 lead.
Beckner's tech fall was his ninth this season and improves him to 17-4 overall. Samano now has eight tech falls this season and boasts a 20-4 overall record.
Washington and Lee lit up its side of the scoreboard with four straight wins from 141 to 165 pounds, including a pair of pins at 149 and 165.
Franklin Melton (174) continued his winning ways with a 10-3 decision over Jak Krouse. The Generals picked up a win at 184 and a pin at 197 to seal the win.
Rayshawn Dixon (285) closed out the night with a 3-1 overtime win over John Ryan Sedovy. The win keeps Dixon, ranked 7th nationally, unbeaten at 27-0 this season.
