HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College's men's golf team opened the 2024-25 season at the Kinder-Williams Invitational, hosted by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Club. The Panthers tied for 14th place in the season opener in a field of 18 teams.

INDIVIDUAL
Southern Virginia's Dax Anderson earned medalist honors with a four-under 140 over the two-day tournament. SVU teammate Nikko Taggart came up one stroke short at 141. Bridgewater's Walker Gillespie, SVU's Nick Johnson and Pfeiffer's Connor Key rounded out the top five individuals, all three tying for third place with matching 142 scores.
FERRUM FIVE
Brandon Jones led the Panthers, carding a two-day 150 to finish in a five-way tie for 25th place in a field of 96 golfers.
Clayton Gilmore finished in a four-way tie for 46th place at 155, while
Wyatt Larson finished 71st at 162. All six Panther golfers that competed at the Kinder-Williams Invitational are listed below.

Elam Ruff's team will return to the links Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24, at the King Invitational. The event will be hosted by King University at Golf Club of Bristol in Tennessee.
