BRISTOL, Tennessee -- The Ferrum College men's golf team completed play at the King University Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday, September 23-24, at The Golf Club of Bristol. Of the 13 teams competing in the tournament, 12 were either NCAA Division II or NAIA programs.

INDIVIDUAL
It was a tight individual battle, as the top 10 players were all within three strokes of the lead. Chowan's Jacob King won medalist honors with a two-day total 135 on criteria over King's Asmund Norum, who also shot a 135. Tusculum's Liam Van Deventer and Belmont Abbey's Elian Infante tied for third at 136, while Tusculum's Hunter Hartman rounded out the top five individuals with a 137.
FERRUM FIVE
Tiaan Diedericks tied for 30th to lead Ferrum in a field of 66 golfers with a two-day 145.
Brandon Jones tied for 42nd place with a 147.

Brandon Jones carding his lowest career round and the lowest single round (68) by a Ferrum golfer since 2022 (2 under par), team most sub 80 individual scores (7) since 2022, lowest team round (302) since 2020, and lowest team tournament score (604) since 2020.

Ruff's team will be back in action Monday and Tuesday, September 30 through October 1, at the Jack Ingram Invitational. The event will be hosted by Pfeiffer University at Tillery Tradition Club in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
