NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia -- Ferrum College's wrestling team competed today at the Builder Invitational, held today at Old Apprentice School Gym.
THE BASICS
Joseph Olalde (157 lbs) led Ferrum with a third-place finish and a 3-1 mark. Olalde posted pin at the 1:11 mark of the first period over Valentino Antoine of Marymount University in his third-place match.
Trent Ray (285) placed fifth for the Panthers, also going 3-1 on the day, and closing out his fifth-place match with a 7-2 decision over Marymount's Edgar Lagos.
Robert Owens Jr. (157) looked solid, going 3-2 on the day with a pair of pins.
