THE BASICS
Taryn Blankenship put the first points on the board for the game with a second chance layup off a shot by
Allyson Cassell. The Panthers outscored Hollins in the first period 20-16, but ended the first half on the short end of a 35-32 score.
The Panthers took control early in the second half, outscoring Hollins 18-13 in the third quarter, then used a strong late effort of 17-8 in the fourth to seal the win. Ferrum shot 41% from the floor, including 27% from behind the three-point line.
