BLUFFTON, S.C. -- The Ferrum College women's basketball team made its NCAA Div. II debut at the 2025 Regional Challenge, at host USC Beaufort tonight on the road, falling 75-66 at the Cove.

THE BASICS
Host USC Beaufort led 14-10 after the first quarter, but Ferrum rallied with a big second quarter to take a 33-27 halftime lead. The Sand Sharks outscored Ferrum 15-14 in the third quarter, but the Panthers still clung to a 47-42 lead after three quarters.Â
Maslyn Mosbacher's layup with 4:43 left in the game was Ferrum's final lead at 56-53. USCB's Taniyah Bowman sank a free throw and Madison Self converted a layup to tie the score at 56-56 before the Sand Sharks began to pull away. Bowman's free throw with 33 seconds left in regulation gave USC Beaufort its largest lead of the game at 75-64.
